        Oakwood Court Residents Association (OCRA)

        Picture

The Oakwood Court Residents Association (OCRA) actively represents leaseholder and resident interests in a wide range of areas.

We work closely with Oakwood Court’s Managing Agents, Freshwater, by providing feedback and views on the following areas: building management and cleaning, security, major works projects, running expenses and cost and quality of products and services provided by various vendors. OCRA are directly involved in the maintenance of the communal gardens. We initiate new project ideas as appropriate and work with Freshwater to ensure their satisfactory implementation.

In addition to this website, OCRA periodically publishes a printed newsletter for its members, including useful updates and information about the service charge, major works, our vendors and other news.

        OCRA 2012 – Major Achievements

        Picture

        • OCRA website launched www.oakwoodcourt.org
        • OCRA was able work with Freshwater to reduce costs for the Bridge and Stairs project from original estimates of £534,000 to £40,000 (latest estimate). This will be achieved by implementing a revised scheme that would ensure the continued support of the existing structures but avoid a full-scale structural re-construction and re-building of the steps.
        • Implemented a new management monitoring system with DB Services and Freshwater to prioritise and manage issues at OC.
        • Due to increased recycling at OC, OCRA was able to reduce the number of RBKC trash collection from 3 to 2/week saving OC residents in excess of £24,000/year.
        • Improved front door security with the installation of Dictator closing devices.
